Information: This Zuni turtle fetish was hand carved out of serpentine stone by Marilyn Chuyate. Five turquoise stones decorate the shell and two stones make up the eyes. A metal wire makes this fetish available as a pendant. Owners of a fetish are believed to recieve assistance from a spirit that dwells inside. The turtle represents "Mother Earth". |
